PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Geneva College women's basketball team dropped its final game before the Thanksgiving break on Tuesday night at Chatham, falling to the Cougars 99-61, despite a double-double performance from junior Mia San Nicolas.  Geneva is now 1-5 overall, 1-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), while Chatham improved to 4-1 overall, 2-0 in the PAC.
Chatham jumped out to a big first half lead.  The Cougars led 31-12 after one quarter and 58-27 after the first half came to a completion.
Geneva's best stretch came to open the third quarter, with sophomore Mackenzie Barricklow and senior Isabella Roth opening the half with back-to-back three-pointers as part of a ten-point Geneva run, but the deficit was too great for the Golden Tornadoes to overcome.
San Nicolas finished the game with 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Roth also reached double figures with 13 points.  The Golden Tornadoes shot just 27% from the floor, including 4-of-28 (14%) from three-point range.
The women will get a few days off for the Thanksgiving break, returning to action next Wednesday at Allegheny.
