Beaver County Special Olympics

at Geneva College | Reeves Field

Geneva College is excited to host the Special Olympics Beaver County Track and Field Championships!  We look forward to seeing the many talented athletes that Beaver County has to offer, and are very thankful for the opportunity to get involved and help with the mission of the Special Olympics.  We invite volunteers from the community to come alongside students and staff members of Geneva to help coordinate this event.  Some of the Track and Field events the athletes will be participating in are:

  • Sprints
  • Long-distance Races
  • High Jump
  • Discus
  • And more!

Some information about the Special Olympics:

  • Special Olympics athletes compete in over 30 different sports, including snowboarding, judo, soccer, and many more.
  • The Special Olympics program Healthy Athletes offers over 1 million free comprehensive health examinations worldwide to athletes at Special Olympics events.
  • Over 3.1 million athletes from over 175 countries participate in the Special Olympics.
  • Special Olympics athletes are divided in different competition groups based off of age, gender, and ability.
  • More than 750,000 people volunteer to help with the Special Olympics, and there are many Special Olympics Global Ambassadors - professional athletes and entertainers including Damian Lillard and Michael Phelps who raise awareness to the cause of the Special Olympics.
