Kevin Florent joined the women's basketball staff prior to the 2022-23 season. He has over 25 years as a professional basketball player and coach in the United States and Europe. He was a standout player at Southern University, graduating in 1988, and then he went on to play professionally in the USBL domestically, and later in countries like Germany, Cypus and France for almost 20 years. Since retiring from professional basketball in 2009, Florent has spent time coaching at all levels, from middle school to high school plus summer leagues and traveling teams in Cyprus, Italy and Israel. He was most recently head girls varsity coach at Chapelgate Christian Academy (MD) from 2017 to 2022.
