Madison Reger returned to Geneva College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the beginning of 2022. She was previously an Intern Athletic Trainer at Geneva from 2015 through January of 2017. Madison graduated from Waynesburg University in 2014 with a degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Exercise Science. While attending Waynesburg, she was a dual athlete, competing on the softball team and for the golf program. After her first stint at Geneva, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration at Mount St. Mary’s University from 2017 through 2019. Madison has worked as an Athletic Trainer at both Yale University and The George Washington University. During that time, she became certified in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
When asked why she loves athletic training, she stated, “I love athletic training because it is a way to put sports and medicine together. It is rewarding to see an athlete come back from an injury after watching, from beginning to end, all the off-the-field work they put in to get back to playing the sport they love.”
