Matt Chubb is entering his seventh year as an assistant coach with Geneva's baseball team. A former player for the Golden Tornadoes, he played underneath head coach Alan Sumner from 2014-2017, graduating from Geneva with a BSBA in Accounting in 2017. He returned to Geneva in 2019 after enrolling in the College's Master of Arts in Higher Education (MAHE) program, and began his coaching career at the beginning of the 2020 baseball season. In 2022, Chubb graduated from the MAHE program, but remained at the College as an assistant coach and as an employee in Geneva's Student Success Center. His capstone project is titled: "Coaching Toward Character Development Within Student-Athletes in the NCCAA."
In addition to coaching, Chubb also serves as the Director of Student Success at Geneva, a role that allows him to help students on their academic journey through college. He resides in Beaver Falls.
