Geneva Stings Waynesburg on Courts
Waynesburg, PA – Women's Tennis handed the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets a 9-0 loss Tuesday afternoon. The sting lowers Waynesburg's overall record to 1-11, 0-8 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Geneva's return to the win column raises its record to 11-2, 5-2 in the PAC.
Doubles earned the sweep led by
Sara Stoll and
Felicity Orndoff (8-3), followed by
Grace Moyer and
Jana Newberry in second doubles (8-1) and
Victoria Hinds and
Laura Anderson (8-0) in third doubles.
Stoll continued her work in first singles (6-3, 6-4) while Moyer posted a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in second singles. Hinds (6-2, 6-2) and Orndoff (6-0, 6-1) secured the third and fourth spots.
Michelle Kisiel showcased a 6-0, 6-0 fifth singles final.
Rebekah Locke closed the contest with a 6-1, 6-1 sixth singles victory.
The Golden Tornadoes have a quick turnaround facing the Saint Vincent Bearcats (6-7, 4-3 PAC) on Wednesday, October 11 at 12:30 p.m. at Brady's Run Indoor Courts.
