Geneva’s Dominant Offense Not Enough to Protect Home Pitch
Geneva’s Dominant Offense Not Enough to Protect Home Pitch
Beaver Falls, Pa. – Geneva started off the season flawlessly defending its home pitch. The Golden Tornadoes extended the same welcome to Pitt Bradford on Friday, outshooting the Panthers 24-8. Despite efforts, nothing landed in the back of the net as the Golden Tornadoes' win streak at home was snapped in a 2-0 loss. Geneva's overall record drops to 2-3, while the visitors raise their record to 3-4.

Pitt Bradford benefited from an early Geneva own goal. In hopes to respond, Geneva generated plenty of offense. The GTs outshot the Panthers 11-4 in the first half but couldn't find an equalizing answer.

At 53:44, Panther Courtney Shade connected with Meghan Stuck to seal the 2-0 win.

Geneva competes in two more non-conference games before conference contests begin. On Wednesday, September 20 Geneva will travel to Marietta, starting at 7:00 p.m. The Golden Tornadoes return home on Saturday, September 23 at 4:30 p.m. hosting Point Park.
