Geneva Overwhelmed by Wooster & Messiah
Pittsburgh, PA – Geneva volleyball's competitive non-conference play continued against Wooster and Messiah. Wooster handed Geneva a 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 26-24) loss while Messiah overwhelmed the GTs 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-21). The pair of losses move Geneva's overall record to 3-12. Wooster improved to 11-7, Messiah raised its record to 6-9.
Sydney McNulty led Geneva's offense against Wooster with 10 kills set by
Daphne Hunsinger with 16 assists.
Grace Holdeman tallied double digit digs with 16.
McNulty led on the other side of the ball in the second match against Messiah. She earned 12 digs followed by Hunsinger with 11. Hunsinger added 22 more assists to her count.
Millicent Dofelmier and
Kacey Costal posted six kills.
Geneva returns to play in the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Tuesday, September 26 at Grove City. The Wolverines host the PAC tri-match inviting Geneva and the Thiel Tomcats. Geneva will open play against Grove City at 4:00 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. match against Thiel. The Golden Tornadoes return home to Metheny on Thursday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. hosting the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
