GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Geneva College men's tennis team traveled to Grove City College on Friday afternoon for a match that was originally scheduled for earlier in the week but was postponed due to weather, and the Wolverines proved too tough on the day, defeating Geneva 8-1. Geneva fell to 12-3 overall, 3-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), while Grove City improved to 4-5 overall, 3-1 in the PAC.
Senior Ethan Stahl was the lone Golden Tornado to pick up a point on the afternoon, winning a hard fought match in #5 singles in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 10-5.
"We fought hard today, and we were far more competitive than in prior years," said Head Coach Mandee Craft. "Ethan pulled out a fantastic win in fifth singles."
Geneva will next head to Waynesburg on Tuesday, April 17, for a match starting at 4:00 p.m.
