BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team wrapped up its season with one last match against Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday at Blackhawk Courts, and the Golden Tornadoes went out with a win, 8-1. Geneva finishes the season with a 13-3 record, while Pitt-Greensburg finishes at 5-10.
Geneva swept the doubles, with sophomores Rachael Letterman and Grace Moyer winning in #1 doubles, and sophomores Victoria Hinds and Jana Newberry winning in #2 doubles. Pitt-Greensburg did not have a team for #3 doubles.
In singles, senior Sara Stoll, freshman Felicity Orndoff, senior Laura Anderson, and junior Michelle Kisiel all picked up wins. Pitt-Greensburg did not have anyone for the #6 singles either.
"We played well today," said Head Coach Mandee Craft. "It was great to get everyone into the match, and we were really happy that the rain held off. Sara and Laura also got to finish out their college careers with strong wins. We will miss them!"
Outside of Stoll and Anderson, Geneva will return the rest of its team as the squad looks to build upon a successful season this past year.
