GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team cruised to a victory over Pitt-Greensburg on Friday night, 8-1. Geneva improved to 9-8, while Pitt-Greensburg fell to 2-15.
Geneva swept all three doubles matches. Junior
Rachael Letterman (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) and sophomore
Felicity Orndoff (New Stanton, Pa./Greensburg Catholic Central) won in #1 doubles. Senior
Katherine Deitrick (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) and junior
Victoria Hinds (Montrose, Pa./Montrose) won in #2 doubles, and sophomore
Bekah Locke (Atwater, Ohio/Marlington) and freshman
Mady Paquet (Ellsworth, Wisc./Ellsworth) won in #3 doubles.
Geneva won five of the six singles matches, with Letterman, Orndoff, Hinds, Locke and senior
Michelle Kisiel (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands) all picking up victories.
The Golden Tornadoes finish out their season with a match at Penn State Behrend on Tuesday starting at 4:00 p.m.
