BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College men's tennis team, playing another fall match on Thursday night, was swept by Westminster at Brady's Run Indoor Courts, 9-0. Westminster improved to 1-1, while Geneva dropped to 0-2. None of Geneva's matches during the fall count in the conference standings.
The Titans swept through the three doubles matches to start things off by scores of 8-5, 8-4 and 8-5. In singles action, senior Josiah Shaver (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) was the only Golden Tornado to take a set, winning the first set in his match in #2 singles before eventually falling in a third-set tiebreaker.
Geneva closes out the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday with a home match against Capital at 4:30 p.m. This match will also be held at Brady's Run Indoor Courts.
