BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College men's tennis team dropped its first match of the season on Friday afternoon inside Brady's Run Indoor Courts, falling to reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) champion Allegheny 9-0. Geneva dropped to 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the PAC.
Allegheny took all three doubles matches to take an early lead. Sophomore Owen Landis had the most success in singles but ultimately fell in straight sets 6-2, 7-5.
"We gave a good fight tonight against the best of the best," said Head Coach Mandee Craft. "Owen especially had a fantastic battle in his singles match."
The men will be back in action on Monday when the Golden Tornadoes host Westminster at 7:00 p.m. on Blackhawk Courts.
