BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Geneva College women's lacrosse team couldn't break through against Buffalo State on Wednesday afternoon, losing the road match 29-0.
The Golden Tornadoes didn't have any answers to slow down a Buffalo State squad that came into the contest with an undefeated record. The Bengals scored ten times in the opening quarter and added six more in the second quarter. Geneva never managed to get a shot attempt in the eventual shutout.
Freshman Amanda Gillette led the team with three ground balls and four draw controls. Freshman Catherine Qi also picked up three ground balls.
The women will have a week off before heading to Mount Aloysius for a match next Thursday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m.
