BETHANY, W.Va. – The Geneva College women's lacrosse team was unable to find its first-ever program victory on Wednesday night at Bethany, falling 14-1 to the Bison.
The Bison team had the upper hand from the beginning, jumping out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter. Bethany extended its lead to nine goals before sophomore
Julianna Easley broke through with a goal to get Geneva on the board before halftime.
Leading 10-1 heading into the second half, the Bison scored four more times in the third quarter before the game was called due to lightning in the area. The final score was 14-1.
Easley scored the only goal for Geneva, but freshman
Taylor Robinson also registered two shots on goal, as well as three ground pickups. Sophomore
Mara Fowlow led the team on the draw with three draw controls.
The Golden Tornadoes have just two days off before their next game, a home tilt against Grove City on Friday, April 4
th, at 3:30 p.m.
