Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men’s Tennis Falls at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Geneva College men's tennis team took on the top team in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Tuesday evening, traveling north to take on Allegheny, and the Gators, who have not dropped a set in any PAC match this season, continued their excellent play with a 7-0 defeat of the Golden Tornadoes.  Geneva dropped to 2-9 overall, 0-5 in the PAC.

Geneva couldn't make any progress in doubles play, capturing just two points across the three matches.  Junior Braiden Smalley fought valiantly No. 1 singles against Allegheny's Kristian Jancy but eventually fell 6-3, 6-4.

"Braiden gave them a good fight," said Head Coach Mandee Craft, "but overall they were just too tough."

The men will try to pick up their first PAC win of the season on Saturday when Geneva travels to Thiel for a 12:00 p.m. match with the Tomcats.
