LATROBE, Pa. – The Geneva College men's tennis team suffered a narrow defeat at Saint Vincent on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bearcats 4-3.  The men are now 3-2 overall, 1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Saint Vincent got off to the better start, winning all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

Geneva battled back in singles play.  Senior Braiden Smalley earned a win in No. 1 doubles 6-1, 6-4, and the Golden Tornadoes earned two more points when junior Thayne Bodenmiller took No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-1 and senior Owen Landis won 6-1, 6-4 in No. 6 singles.  Unfortunately, the men couldn't come up with the final point they needed to win the match.
