NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named fourteen Geneva men's and women's track and field athletes as All-Region selections for their performances during the recently completed outdoor season.  To be honored as an all-region selection, an athlete must finish in the top eight in the region in an event, including relays.

On the men's side, sophomore Abe Konneh was honored in four different events.  He was an All-Region selection in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay teams.  Konneh just recently wrapped up competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships where he finished 12^th in the 200-meter race, earning Second Team All-American honors.

In addition to Konneh, graduate student Jack Garvin in the high jump and junior Isaac Nirella earned All-Region honors in individual events.

Joining Konneh in earning All-Region honors in the relays were freshmen Judah Abram, Alex Mastoris and Karim Ouardirhi in the 4x100m relays, while senior Seth Tyson and freshmen Tyler Boyle and Titus Mathews were recognized for their performance in the 4x400m relay.

On the women side, junior Daphne Alexander earned recognition in the high jump, which is the event she just finished 17^th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships over the weekend.

Joining Alexander as All-Region selections were senior Hailey Carroll in the 1500-meter race, senior Emily Garvin in the javelin, senior Carmen Medvit in the 10000-meter race and senior Allison Standish in the hammer throw.
