Smith and Tyson Honored as CSC Academic All-District Selections

GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday, sophomore Nathan Smith and senior Seth Tyson were honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-District selections.

To receive this distinction, a student-athlete much be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5, and have finished in the top 50 in the region in the cross country or indoor or outdoor track and field seasons.

Smith finished 37th in the region in the outdoor 400-meter hurdles, while Tyson finished 41st in both the indoor long jump and triple jump, as well as placing 45th in the region in the outdoor 400-meter race.  For Tyson, this is the third straight season earning Academic All-District honors.
