Geneva College Athletics

Francis joins Geneva as an assistant football coach for the 2020 season, focusing on the linebackers.

Francis, from Maryland, began his playing career at Lackawanna College in 2009, and in 2010 he was named a National Junior College Athletic Association first team All-American.  He transferred to West Virginia in 2011 where he played linebacker for two seasons, starting all 13 games his senior year while leading the team with 15 TFLs.  Francis graduated from West Virginia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and anthropology.  

Francis spent time professionally with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2014 and the Wichita Falls Nighthawks of the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2015.  Later in 2015 he signed with the Green Bay Packers for a short stint before returning to the Nighthawks.  He went on to have stretches with the Calgary Stampede in the CFL and the Green Bay Blizzard of the IFL in 2017 and 2018.
