Zack Stitt joined the Geneva College Men’s Basketball staff as an assistant in June of 2017. He is also joining the women's basketball team as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2020-21 season. In April of 2022, Stitt was named Associate Men's Basketball Head Coach.
“I feel so honored and blessed to be able to return to a school that has given me so much and have the opportunity to work for Coach Santarsiero. When Coach called me with this opportunity, it was one that I couldn’t pass up”, said Stitt when he first joined the men's basketball staff.
Stitt made his return to College Hill after spending the 2016-17 year at Riverview High School in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, working for his father Keith Stitt. During that year Stitt served as an assistant Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball coach. His responsibilities included film exchange, player development, and social media. He also served as the 7th grade Girls Basketball Coach.
During his first year on staff Stitt helped Geneva to a mark of 12-15 (7-11) making it to the PAC Semifinals after knocking off St. Vincent College 80-78 in OT for the first time since 2010. In 2020, the men's basketball program advanced to the PAC Championship game for the first time in school history. Stitt’s responsibilities with the Golden Tornadoes include scouting, player development, recruiting, practice planning, academic support and social media coordinator.
During his four years as a player at Geneva, Stitt was a two-year captain and a part of a PAC Semifinal team. As a sophomore, Stitt was a part of the team that upset #1 seed Bethany in the quarterfinals of the PAC Tournament, marking the first time a #1 seed had ever lost in the first round.
The Oakmont, PA native spends his spring coaching AAU basketball for Urban Impact on top of his recruiting responsibilities. Stitt is also involved with numerous basketball camps throughout the summer months.
