Devaughn Johns joins Geneva's coaching staff for the 2020 season after a standout career playing for the Golden Tornadoes. Johns arrived at Geneva in 2016, and it didn't take long before he was inserted into the starting lineup in Geneva's defensive backfield, and he became an anchor over his four seasons for the Golden Tornado defense that consistently was tops in the PAC. His four years on Geneva's backline were four of the top seven defensive seasons in school history, including 2017 when the Golden Tornadoes gave up just 14 goals all year, best in Geneva history. Johns also was a weapon offensively, where his long throw-ins and prowess in the air on free kicks led to some critical goals throughout his career. Johns culminated his career in 2019 as a 1st Team All-PAC selection, as well as being named an NCAA Division III 2nd Team All Great Lakes Division selection by the United Soccer Coaches.
