Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Grove City Too Strong for Women’s Tennis

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – On Wednesday night the women's tennis team had another reminder as to why Grove City was named as the preseason favorites in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), as the visiting Wolverines swept the Golden Tornadoes, 9-0.  Grove City improved to 3-0 overall, including 3-0 in the PAC, while Geneva fell to 3-3, 1-2 in the PAC.

There wasn't a lot that went right for Geneva in this match.  The Golden Tornadoes were unable to come up with a win on the evening as Grove City asserted its strength in every flight.

"Grove City always has a strong program, and this year is no exception," said Head Coach Mandee Craft.  "They'll be tough for anyone to beat this season."

Geneva won't have much time off as the Golden Tornadoes get right back on the court on Friday night for a 6:00 p.m. match against Waynesburg at Blackhawk Courts.
