BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team hosted the reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) champion Franciscan Barons on Wednesday evening at Blackhawk Courts, and the Barons were still too strong for Geneva with Franciscan sweeping the Golden Tornadoes, 9-0. Franciscan improved to 8-1, 5-0 in the PAC, while Geneva dropped to 1-5, 1-5 in the PAC.
"There is a very good reason why Franciscan won the conference championship last year," said Head Coach Mandee Craft. "They are a very strong team from top to bottom. We played good tennis today, but they simply played better tennis."
Geneva heads to Westminster on Friday for a 4:00 p.m. matchup with the Titans.
