LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Geneva women's cross country team placed 16
th in a field of 34 collegiate teams at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday morning.
The 6,000-meter Crimson race was on the same course where the Golden Tornadoes will run their NCAA Regional in November. The competition had a regional feel with a combination of Division I, II and III teams from around the region.
The team was the second highest scorer among Presidents' Athletic Conference teams with 461 points.
Sophomore
Carmen Medvit was the top PAC finished in 21
st place with a time of 22:16.60.
Sophomore
Madison Castro placed 47th in 23:01.00, while freshman
Hailey Carroll was 79th at 23:43.90. Junior
Catherine O'Donnell and senior
Elizabeth Martin rounded out the team scoring with times of 24:49.00 and 25:27.50, respectively.
Each Geneva runner in the top five dropped almost one to two minutes off their previous 6K time this season.
The Golden Tornadoes return to action in two weeks at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh.
