NEWVILLE, Pa. – Seniors Carmen Medvit and Hailey Carroll ran a great race on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted at Big Spring High School, leading the women to a seventh-place finish, out of 27 schools at the meet. Medvit's performance qualified her for the NCAA Division III National Championship meet next Saturday, while Carroll's finish places her in good position to also qualify, but she'll have to wait until Monday before the final spots are selected.
Medvit finished the race in eighth place overall, out of 205 runners, with a time of 22:00. Carroll was close behind, placing 11th with a time of 22:07.
Audrey McAlister wrapped her stand out sophomore campaign with another strong meet, placing 48th with a time of 23:32. Sophomore Sienna Jackson was next for the women, finishing in 63rd place with a time of 24:14. Freshman Molly Husted also placed within the top 100, coming in 91st in a time of 24:47.
Next week's national meet will be held on Saturday, November 22, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the Roger Milliken Center.
