NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team's tough schedule through the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) continued on Monday with a road match at Westminster. The Titans defeated the women 8-1, though senior Ella Miller provided a bright spot for the Golden Tornadoes with a comeback win in singles play.
In doubles action, junior Delaney Winterhalter and sophomore Lauren Estes dropped a tough battle in #1 doubles, 8-6.
Miller provided a win for Geneva in #6 singles play. After dropping the first set 6-2, Miller rallied to win the second set, 6-4, and then prevailed in the third-set tiebreaker, 11-9.
"We had a couple close matches today," said Head Coach Mandee Craft. "I'm especially excited for Ella for a great comeback win!"
The women will take a break from conference play when they host La Roche on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. on Blackhawk Courts.
