GREENVILLE, Pa. – Geneva College sophomores Carmen Medvit and Hailey Carroll ran well at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon, hosted at the Greenville Airport, and the duo helped the women place third overall. Grove City won the team championship.
Medvit and Carroll placed second and third in the women's race. Medvit finished the 6K course in 22:05, while Carroll wasn't far behind in third place with a time of 22:23. Their performances earned the pair First Team All-PAC honors by virtue of finishing in the top seven.
Junior Madison Castro was the third runner across the line for the Golden Tornadoes, placing 14th with a time of 23:45. That performance earned her Second Team All-PAC honors. Rounding out the top five finishers for Geneva was freshman Jordann Hicks, placing 28th with a time of 24:45, and senior Catherine O'Donnell, who finished 37th with a time of 25:16.
The women will now turn their attention towards the NCAA Regional Meet in two weeks, hosted at Lock Haven on Saturday, November 11. Medvit, who qualified for the NCAA National Championships last year, and Carroll will try to earn a spot in the NCAA National Championship on Saturday, November 18.
