Women’s Tennis Takes Tough Loss Against PSU Behrend

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. --- Sophomore Jenna Allison provided the Geneva College women's tennis team with its only win on Saturday afternoon on Homecoming against Penn State Behrend. The Golden Tornadoes lost 8-1 in non-conference action at the Blackhawk Tennis Courts.

Despite the lopsided final score, seven of the nine matches were very tight affairs, with five of the matches going to a tiebreaker to settle the winner.  Allison was the only Golden Tornado who managed to win her third-set tiebreaker, winning at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (5).

Geneva wraps up Presidents' Athletic Conference action on Monday, October 9 against Waynesburg. Game time at the Blackhawk Tennis Courts is set for 6 p.m.
