ERIE, Pa. --- After a 45-minute delay due to weather in the area, the Geneva College women's tennis team lost to host Penn State Behrend, 6-3.
"Penn State Behrend is a solid team, but we also had some leads get away from us," said Geneva head coach Mandee Craft. "We can see some things to work on before we head into PAC play next week."
Following doubles play, Geneva was only down 2-1 thanks to an 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles by the pair of freshman Isabel Kleiman and sophomore CeJaelyn Perednia.
The Golden Tornadoes took losses at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, while freshman Rachel Hodsden earned the win at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-7. Sophomore Jenna Allison won handily at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0, as PSU Behrend held a 4-3 lead. Kleiman and senior Ella Miller each went three sets at No. 4 and No. 5 but came up short.
