EDINBORO, Pa. – Several members of the Geneva College men's and women's cross country teams competed on Friday afternoon at the Edinboro Fighting Scots Invitational, while several members of both teams took the weekend off after competing at Lehigh last Saturday.
On the women's side, sophomore Jordann Hicks led Geneva. She ran the 6K race in a time of 27:20, which placed her 46th out of 73 runners. Freshman Miranda Bailey was next for the Golden Tornadoes with a time of 28:20. Junior Hannah Skwarek finished in 29:41, while freshman Sage Personett rounded out the top four with a time of 29:55.
On the men's side, junior Archie McKissick was the top finisher for Geneva, placing 32nd out of 72 runners, finishing the 8K race with a time of 28:09. Freshman Connor Miller was next for Geneva with a time of 28:55. Freshman Lukas Mashuda finished in 29:21, while freshman Isaac Burden rounded out the top four for the Golden Tornadoes with a time of 30:13.
The teams will return to action next Saturday when both the men and women compete at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational at 12:00 p.m.
