NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Geneva College men's cross country team wrapped up their tremendous season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday morning, hosted at Big Spring High School. Geneva's top five runners all finished within the top 75 runners, out of 218 runners, led by sophomore Ethan Haring. In total, 34 schools from the region were at the meet.
Haring finished with a time of 26:09 for the Golden Tornadoes, placing 29th overall. Senior Karter Reath placed 40th overall with a time of 26:36, while senior Eli Eisenberger finished 51st with a time of 26:50. Sophomore Matt Otto was fourth for Geneva, placing 60th overall with at time of 27:05, and senior Tommy Corbin was the men's fifth finisher, placing 71st with a time of 27:18.
In addition to the top five, senior Benjamin Perka also ran well, placing 78th in a time of 27:38. Freshman Xaver Alexander finished 100th overall with a time of 28:04.
Today's meet brings an end to the men's historic season that saw the Golden Tornadoes capture their first Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship in school history.
