LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Geneva men's cross country ran well at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday, with four runners placing in the top 100. They were led by senior
Kevin Arseneaux, whose 12
th place finish qualified him to compete at the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships that are set to take place next week. The Golden Tornadoes finished in 12
th place overall out of the 29 schools participating at the meet.
Arseneaux has been one of the top runners in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for the last three seasons, but his 24:48 time Saturday qualified him for the National Championships for the first time in his career. Behind him, junior
Tommy Corbin finished second for the GTs, 56
th overall, with a time of 26:01. Junior
Eli Eisenberger took third for the men, with his 26:29 time placing him 79
th overall, while junior
Karter Reath recorded a 26:42 time, good enough for 94
th overall. Junior
Benjamin Perka rounded out the top five runners for the men, placing 113
th with a 27:09 time.
Arseneaux becomes the first male Geneva runner ever to qualify for the NCAA National Championships since the school joined NCAA Division III back in 2011. He will prepare to compete in Terre Haute, Indiana next Saturday, November 23
