Tennis Celebrates Senior Night against Franciscan

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team celebrated Senior Night on Wednesday afternoon at Brady's Run Indoor Courts, falling to Franciscan in its match, 5-2.  The Golden Tornadoes recognized their four seniors, Jenna Allison, Lauren Estes, Sarah Kelly and CeJaelyn Perednia at the completion of the match.  The contest was the final regular season match for the women before beginning the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) playoffs next week.  Geneva finished the regular season 7-6 overall, 4-4 in PAC play.

Franciscan took control of the match in doubles play, winning all three matches to earn the doubles point.

Geneva earned its points in singles play.  Sophomore Chloe DeSanzo won in No. 1 singles 7-5, 6-1, while freshman Abigail Anderson won No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-4.

The women will now await their opponent for Tuesday's PAC Quarterfinal matchup.  The women will be on the road, with a matchup at W&J a possibility.
