GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team traveled north on Wednesday afternoon to take on the always powerful Wolverines, and Grove City won the match 6-1, with the lone point coming from another strong performance by sophomore Chloe DeSanzo in singles play. The match was the first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest of the season for the women, who are now 2-1 overall.
DeSanzo's victory came impressively in No. 1 singles. She won the first set 6-4 before her opponent took the second set by the same scoreline. That sent the match to a third-set tiebreaker, which she won 10-6.
The women will try to rebound this Saturday when they travel to Davis & Elkins for a 1:00 p.m. match.
