ELKINS, W. Va. – The Geneva women's tennis program traveled down to Division II Davis & Elkins College on Saturday afternoon but fell to the Senators 6-1. It is the second loss in a row for the Golden Tornadoes after they won their first two matches to start the season, dropping their record to 2-2.
Sophomore
Chloe DeSanzo was the lone bright spot for Geneva in the loss, rallying from a 7-6 loss in the first set of her No. 1 singles match to win the next two 6-3, 10-8. She, along with senior
Lauren Estes, nearly took their match in No. 1 doubles as well, but they wound up falling 6-4 in a tight contest. Estes lost her match in No 2 singles 6-3, 6-2.
Up next for the women is Ursuline College, with that match taking place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16
th.
