MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Geneva College men's cross country team finished second on Saturday morning at the Allegheny Classic, defeating every Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) school at the classic. The meet was a preview of the PAC Championships, which will be held on the same course in November. There were 18 schools at the meet, though not every PAC school was able to field a full team for the race. A total of 186 runners competed.
Senior Eli Eisenberger and sophomore Ethan Haring led the team. Eisenberger finished 10th overall with a time of 27:41 in the 8K race, while Haring was right behind in 11th with a time of 27:46. Senior Tommy Corbin was close as well, finishing in a time of 27:54, which was good for 14th place. Senior Karter Reath placed 21st with a time of 28:16, while freshman Xaver Alexander rounded out the top five with a time of 28:48, good for 39th overall.
The men will have a break next weekend before returning to action on Saturday, October 4, while competing at the Live in Louisville meet in Kentucky.
