Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Allegheny Too Strong for Women’s Tennis

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College women's tennis team faced its toughest test of the season on Monday night inside Brady's Run Indoor Courts.  The Golden Tornadoes hosted reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Champions Allegheny for a conference match.  The Gators came into the contest not only undefeated in their three PAC matches this year, but Allegheny had yet to lose a point in any of those matches.  Despite some good battles, that trend continued on Monday as Allegheny won, 7-0.  Geneva is now 4-3 overall, 1-2 in the PAC.

While Geneva's ladies played tough in each of the nine matches, the best results came in No. 1 doubles where sophomore Chloe DeSanzo and senior Lauren Estes took their match all the way to a tiebreaker before falling in that tiebreaker, 7-5.

Geneva will try to rebound on Friday when the ladies host W&J for a 6:00 p.m. match on Blackhawk Courts.
