GENEVA, Ohio – Sophomore Abe Konneh broke the school record in the 60-meter sprint on Saturday at the SPIRE College Indoor Games, highlighting a strong day for the Geneva men's track and field team.
Konneh, who had narrowly missed out on the 60-meter record in prior weeks, accomplished the feat by running 6.90 seconds to finish fourth overall in the competitive meet that had numerous unattached runners competing. Konneh also came close to breaking the school record in the 200-meters, finishing with a time of 21.75 seconds, second overall at the meet. He was just .15 seconds off the school record mark.
