BUCKHANNON, W. Va. – The Geneva College women's lacrosse team, fresh off its first win in program history on Wednesday at William Peach, played a match at Division II West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon as the women made their way home from their Spring Break trip. The Bobcats won the match, 17-2.
Junior Julianna Easley continued her strong play of late, scoring both of Geneva's goals, one in each half. Sophomore Taylor Robinson assisted on Easley's second goal.
Senior Hannah Skwarek had another solid day defensively for the women, finishing with three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Junior Lexi Lee and freshman Anarosa Cunningham split the goalkeeping duties, with the duo combining for seven saves.
The women will now prepare to open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Wednesday with a road trip to PAC preseason favorite Grove City. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
