WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington and Jefferson defeated Geneva's women's lacrosse team on Wednesday 23-3.
W&J scored the first nine goals of the game before the Golden Tornadoes got back-to-back goals from senior Hannah Skwarek and junior Julianna Easley. Sophomore Madi DeRuiter added a third goal in the third quarter to close out the scoring for Geneva in the match.
DeRuiter led the team in stats, scoring once while earning five draw controls and picking up three groundballs, while Easley finished with a team high three shots.
Geneva will be back in action on Saturday with a home match against Chatham at 5:00 p.m. on Wright Field.
