NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Geneva men's cross country opened their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) title defense with a bang Friday evening, winning the Westminster Fisher Invite by 12 points. Each of the GTs' top five runners finished in the top 10 overall, with the men scoring just 25 points total in a dominant victory. Fellow PAC school Grove City was the runner-up at the meet.

There wasn't much to separate the top runners for Geneva during Friday's 5k race, with junior Matt Otto finishing second overall with a time of 16:20.35 and fellow junior Ethan Haring just two seconds behind him in third place overall. Two newcomers finished fifth and sixth overall for Geneva, with freshman Tyler Caron running a 16:44.93 and transfer sophomore Drew Steffler finishing in 16:56.65. Freshman Aidan Mack rounded out the top five for the men with a 10^th place finish, recording a time of 17:06.91.

Geneva's next cross country meet comes in one week, with the team traveling to Newville, PA to participate in the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational. The men will begin running at 10:00 a.m., with the women to follow.
