LATROBE, Pa. --- The Geneva men's cross country team finished in third place at the 2022 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, hosted at Saint Vincent, with a score of 67 points. Sophomore
Kevin Arseneaux earned a spot on the podium with a third-place finish.
"We finished strong today," said head coach
Phil Thompson. "We posted several personal-bests today that were key to pushing us into the top three in the conference. Big performances that we need to carry into regionals on November 12."
Arseneaux was the top finisher for the Golden Tornadoes with a time of 26:01.47 on the 8,000-meter course. Sophomore
Jordan Stack and senior
Josiah Helmer crossed the line sixth and seventh with times of 26:25.00 and 26:30.99, respectively. Freshman
Karter Reath and freshman
Eli Eisenberger finished in succession in 25
th and 26
th place. Reath ran a time of 27:30.89, while Eisenberger finished in 27:31.31.
Arseneaux, Stack and Helmer were named All-PAC First Team for their top-seven finishes.
The Golden Tornadoes will prepare now for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, November 12.
