LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Geneva men's cross country team placed 11
th in a field of 34 collegiate teams at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday morning.
The 8,000-meter Crimson race was on the same course where the Golden Tornadoes will run their NCAA Regional in November. The competition had a regional feel with a combination of Division I, II and III teams from around the region.
The team was the second highest scorer among Presidents' Athletic Conference teams with 378 points.
Sophomore
Kevin Arseneaux placed 33
rd among collegiate runners with a time of 25:46.30, followed by sophomore
Jordan Stack in 50
th at 26:19.00.
Senior
Josiah Helmer and freshman
Eli Eisenberger bunched together at 81
st and 82
nd places with the respective times of 26:58.70 and 26:59.80. Rookie
Karter Reath rounded out the team scoring in 132
nd place at 27:37.70.
Each Geneva runner in the top five dropped almost one minute off their previous 8K time this season.
The Golden Tornadoes return to action in two weeks at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh.
