PITTSBURGH/BETHANY, W.Va. – The Geneva men's track & field team split up this weekend to compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational and the Bethany Invitational. The Golden Tornadoes placed ninth at CMU with 35 points and in 11
th place at Bethany with 22 points.
After a record-setting performance on Friday night at CMU, sophomore
Kevin Arseneaux picked up a second victory in the meet on Saturday. Arseneaux won the 800 Meter Run in a time of 1:53.49.
Others picking up points for the Golden Tornadoes on Saturday at CMU were freshman
David Kondraciuk with sixth place in the 400 Meter Dash (51.42), sophomore
Desmond Lewis in seventh place in the 200 Meter Dash (22.92), and sophomore
Eric Hardman finished eighth in the 400 Meter Hurdles.
At Bethany on Saturday, junior
Noah Foust added to more top eight finishes to his weekend. Foust finished fourth place in the Discus Throw at 41.77 meters and fifth in the Shot Put at 14.43 meters.
Senior
Jack Garvin was second in the High Jump at 1.90 meters and rookie
Timothy Ehko placed fifth in the Javelin Throw with a throw of 46.25 meters. Junior
Jordan Stack ended up in eighth place in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 17:12.69.
Up next for the Golden Tornadoes is the West Liberty meet on Saturday, April 1.
