GREENVILLE, Pa./LEWISBURG, Pa. --- The Geneva men's track & field team sent the majority of its squad to the Thiel Tomcat Invitational, while sophomore
Kevin Arseneaux ran at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic.
Several Golden Tornadoes placed in the top-8 in events at Thiel, including wins by
Jack Garvin in the High Jump and the 4x400-Meter Relay team of
Desmond Lewis,
Josh Blessing,
Alec McCready, and
David Kondraciuk. Garvin leaped 1.90 meters to top the leaderboard, while the 4x400 team posted a winning time of 3:29.57.
Lewis also reached the final of the 100 Meter Dash in a preliminary time of 11.40. He placed seventh in the finals with a time of 11.37. Kondraciuk finished fourth in the 400 Meter Dash in a time of 51.83.
On the track,
Amari Andrews placed seventh in the 200 Meter Dash in 23.72 seconds, while
Brian Cline finished fourth in the 110 Meter Hurdles in 58.35 seconds.
In field events,
Noah Foust earned two top-4 finishes, taking second place in the Discus Throw at 42.16 meters and fourth in the Shot Put at 13.84 meters.
Ethan Winters finished sixth in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.43 meters and
Andrew Decker was fifth in the Pole Vault at 3.41 meters.
Arseneaux finished 19
th in the 1,500 Meter Run against solid Division I and II competition in the Bucknell meet. He set a new Geneva record with a time of 3:49.44 breaking his own record set earlier this season.
Geneva will compete at Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday, April 22 in its final meet before the PAC Outdoor Championships on April 27-28 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
