CEDARVILLE, Ohio – A handful of Golden Tornadoes competed at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend, hosted at Cedarville University. Junior Carmen Medvit highlighted several performances for Geneva.
Medvit placed second in the 5000m race on Friday, finishing in a time of 17:59.36. On Saturday, Medvit placed sixth in the mile with a time of 5:20.62.
Junior Hailey Carroll had a strong performance in the 800m race, placing third in a time of 2:21.55.
In the jumps, freshman Olivia Seetoo finished fourth in the high jump on Friday, clearing 1.52 meters. Sophomore Daphne Alexander was sixth in the high jump, clearing 1.42 meters.
In the throws, junior Allison Standish finished seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 13.91 meters.
For the men, Geneva's best finish came in the Distance Medley Relay, where freshmen Nate Gray, Isaiah Etheridge, Trevor Nasso and Ethan Haring placed sixth with a time of 10:56.11.
The full teams will be back in action next week on Friday at Baldwin Wallace.
