BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Graduate students KC Johns and Ryan Rachic, along with junior Alec Srock were honored this week as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections for both their play on the court and their work in the classroom over the past year.
To be honored as an all-district selection, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, and must have played in at least 90% of games, or started 67% of games, over the course of the year.
Johns, who is working on his master's degree in Business Administration, served as Geneva's primary point guard this year, playing in all 26 games, while starting 23 games. He averaged 5.7 points and was second on the team with 62 assists.
Rachic, who already earned an engineering degree and is now finishing his graduate degree in cybersecurity, will go down as one of the best players to ever wear a Geneva jersey. He was a four time All-PAC selection and wrapped up his career with 1,670 career points, eighth in program history, and 876 career rebounds, fourth in school history.
Srock, a business major, emerged as Geneva's top low-post player off the bench. He played in all 26 games this season and averaged 3.5 points and 2.6 rebounds while scoring a career high 14 points against Bethany.
