BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior guard
Jonathan Bertovich was honored by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) when the organization released its all-conference awards Wednesday night, earning Honorable Mention All-PAC honors following a career-best season. It is the first all-conference award of Bertovich's collegiate career and comes after he took the reigns as Geneva's leading man this season.
After the majority of Geneva's starting lineup from the 2024-25 season graduated, Bertovich quickly became the most experienced player on the roster, and he handled his new responsibility well. He finished the season as the Golden Tornadoes' leading scorer, averaging 14.0 points per game, and he also led the team in assists, averaging 3.1 per game. He shot an impressive 39.3% from three-point range over the course of the year, going 57-for-145 from distance, and pulled down 4.9 rebounds per game as well, fourth-most on the team.
Bertovich now ends his collegiate career with both an All-PAC award as well as a PAC championship. Perhaps the most well-known performance of his career was a 20-point performance in his sophomore season in the 2023-24 PAC championship game that saw the Golden Tornadoes defeat Saint Vincent to win their first PAC title.
The PAC also announced its Sportsmanship Team Wednesday night, honoring Geneva senior
Nick Million and 11 others for their commitment to a high quality of character on and off the court.
