Basketball Plans Celebration for Santarsiero and 2001 Men’s Team on January 31

*UPDATE: Due to expected inclement weather, the events have been moved from January 24 to Saturday, January 31. Please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement if you have any questions or need assistance.

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Geneva College basketball fans will want to mark their calendars for a big celebration on Saturday, January 31, in which Head Coach Jeff Santarsiero will be honored as he nears the end of his tremendous career at the helm of the men's basketball program.  In addition, the 2001 men's basketball team that won the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship will also be recognized on Geneva's Pack the Gym event.

Both the women's and men's basketball team will be hosting Saint Vincent College for a doubleheader that afternoon, with the women scheduled to tip-off at 1:30 p.m.

At 2:30 p.m., there will be a reception for the men's basketball team that won the 2001 NCCAA Championship on the south balcony inside Metheny Fieldhouse, with a time of refreshments and fellowship prior to the men's game.  The men's basketball team is scheduled to tip-off against Saint Vincent around 3:30 p.m.

Shortly after the men's basketball game is completed, there will be a reception honoring Coach Santarsiero, who is set to retire at the end of this season after 30 years as the men's head coach.  That celebration will lead into a dinner in the back gym at around 6:00 p.m. for friends, family and alumni.  Registration for both the 2001 men's basketball reception, and the reception and dinner for Coach Santarsiero, can be completed at the link below:
